Validating young people’s feelings
When offering emotional support to children and teens, validating their feelings is a crucial component of developing trust. Providing validation lets young people know that their feelings matter, are natural, and deserve to be heard.

Welcome Home Baby Program
The Welcome Home Baby Program promotes healthy babies and families by providing every new parent in the county a one-time visit with one of our public health nurses.
Nurses offer information on infant growth and development, safety, nutrition, immunizations and breastfeeding. They also help to connect parents with a variety of local community resources.

Glow Family Support helps parents/caregivers connect with other parents who have a child experiencing social, emotional, developmental, medical, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges in their home, school, placement, and/or community. Caregivers are encouraged to build natural supports and resources, and connecting with other parents/caregivers with similar needs can reduce the stress and stigma.
